Norris, Scott sign with FC Dallas
FC Dallas announced a pair of Homegrown signings this week, as academy prospects Nolan Norris and Tarik Scott joined the first team on MLS contracts this week.
Norris is a left back from Fort Worth, Texas that has played at the academy for five years. He was called up to the U.S. U19 MNT earlier this year, and is the No. 35 player in the 2023 Boys IMG Academy Player Rankings.
“I'm blessed, since I joined the academy at the age of 12 this is something I've envisioned since that day,” Nolan Norris said in a press release. “And for this to come true, it's just a testament to the hard work and all the support my coaches, teammates and everybody that's put into me. And the hard work starts now. So I’m really excited.”
Scott is a forward that's been a part of the academy since 2011. He is No. 41 in the 2023 Boys IMG Academy Player Rankings.
Both made their debut for North Texas SC in the 2022 MLS NEXT PRO season. Scott scored twice aganist Minnesota United FC 2. Norris made five starts, 10 appearances in total, playing 510 minutes.
