It does not matter where a U.S. U17 Women’s National Team camp is held because college coaches will flock anywhere to say the next crop of talented players in the youth pipeline.
And when a player finally gets a call to join that elite company, she either shrinks at the stage or seizes the spotlight. The latter is the case with this recruit whose debut appearance with the U17 WNT was met with a chorus of chatter from college coaches on the sideline of Tuesday’s scrimmage.
That tends to be the case when someone scores two goals in the opening 20 minutes and generally shifts the complexion of the game with her presence on the field.
