BOISE, Idaho — Another fine afternoon at the Simplot Sports Complex provided the backdrop for a host of meaningful games as teams kicked of day two of the US Youth Soccer Region IV Championships. This represented the second round of group games, which allowed a small percentage of teams to click their ticket for the knockouts.
It also, unsurprisingly, gave a host of players the chance to showcase their wares in front of friends, family and scouts. These top players shone on day two and gave next level talent evaluators something to chew on going forward. If part of this tournament is about unearthing more localized gems on a regional level, then these players certainly did their part.
