Week in Consideration: September 18-September 24

D2 Men’s Player of the Week: Manuel Ponce Casas, Colorado Mesa University

The Mexican forward helped the Mavericks to two wins this week, scoring twice in a 4-3 defeat of Simon Fraser, then adding another goal and an assist in a 5-0 rout of Adams State.

D2 Men’s Team of the Week: Fort Lewis

A statement seven days saw the team defeat Simon Fraser 2-1, then demolish a Northwest Nazarene team on the verge of a national ranking by an 8-1 scoreline.

D3 Men’s Player of the Week: Alex Michael, Pfeiffer

Scoring back-to-back hat tricks against Carolina Christian and Virginia State, Michael had one of the most legendary runs a center back has ever had at any level. 

D3 Men’s Team of the Week: Middlebury

Unranked at the time, Middlebury earned a grueling 0-0 draw with No. 16 Amherst, conceding just two shots on target.

NAIA Men’s Player of the Week: Ronald Aguilar, Texas A&M-San Antonio

Making the most of his lone appearance on the week, the senior forward bagged a second-half hat trick to lead a thrilling 4-3 comeback victory over Schreiner. 

NAIA Men’s Team of the Week: Lindsey Wilson

A stellar week included a 2-0 victory at nationally ranked Spring Arbor, followed by a 2-1 conference win on the road.
