Graduates of MLS Academies are everywhere in the college ranks nowadays, as many are aiming to continue developing with one day landing a homegrown contract.

For now, of course, the focus is on their college teams, as the season continues to move along and the chase for the College Cup inches along.

Here’s a look at how a selection of MLS Academy alumni fared in Division I action over the past week:

Junior GK Charlie Lyon started, played 90 minutes and made four saves in Marquette’s 2-1 loss against DePaul on Nov. 9.

Freshman MF Louis Bennett II started, played 90 minutes and had an assist in Marquette’s 2-1 loss against DePaul on Nov. 9.

Freshman GK Jake McGuire started, played 90 minutes and made three saves in Tulsa’s 3-0 win over Florida Atlantic on Nov. 8.

Freshman F Romario Lomeli started and played 62 minutes in UC Riverside’s 2-1 loss against UC Irvine on Nov. 6. He also came off the bench, played 60 minutes and had an assist in UC Riverside’s 3-2 win over Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 9.

Sophomore MF Eric Gonzalez came off the bench, scored a goal and had an assist in UC Riverside’s 3-2 win over Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 9.

Freshman MF Ricardo Perez came off the bench and played 53 minutes in Creighton’s 2-0 loss against Providence on Nov. 9.
