Patriots fall to Falcons 4-0 in PBC soccer

MONTEVALLO, AL - The University of Montevallo scored twice in each half to claim a 4-0 Peach Belt Conference win over Francis Marion University, Saturday night (Sept. 22) in men's soccer action.

Francis Marion drops to 2-4-0 overall and 0-2 in the Peach Belt.  The Patriots will return home to face local-rival Coker College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. on Hartzler Field.

The Falcons (5-2-0, 2-0-0) led in shots 21-4 and in corner kicks 6-1.  FMU freshman goalkeeper Taylor King registered four saves.  Junior defender Simon Nett had the Patriots' lone shot on goal.

Montevallo received a pair of goals from sophomore Pierre Omanga, including one in the third minute that gave the Falcons an early 1-0 advantage.
