Taking stock of the U20 WNT performances

The final result for the U.S. U20 Women’s National Team was not what they wanted. A heartbreaking penalty kick shootout loss to Mexico in the 2018 CONCACAF Championship was a sour note to end the past two weeks in Trinidad on. 

While the USA side never looked like they were playing their best soccer, they did have moments that showed promised for the potential of the team and the individuals. The long-term goal for this group has always been to develop players for the Women’s National Team. 

After five meaningful games in 11 days in a World Cup qualifying environment, there is a lot more valuable information about these players available for their prospect with the full national team and their growth within the group.
