Exeter holds top NSCAA girls ranking
Exeter has finally brought some stability to the top of the NSCAA girls national poll. Exeter was named the national No. 1 for a second week in a row in the latest NSCAA poll released Tuesday.
The New Hampshire power held onto its spot with a 3-0-0 week, but there was a major shakeup inside the top two as New York's South Side slid out of the poll after a 6-0-1 start. That cleared the way for Northport to hop to No. 2, while Houston fell from its tie for No. 2 to No. 5 after a draw over the week capped a 3-0-1 run.
Elsewhere, New York's Monroe-Woodbury made its first appearance in the national poll this year by leapfrogging into a tie for 13th with Neshaminy. A 10-0-0 record, one of the few perfect marks left in the top 25, helped get them there as the biggest movers this week.
