Maria Carrillo's girls soccer undefeated streak ended at 75 matches, but that will not change the top of the California state and West region rankings this week. Meanwhile, Carmel (Ind.) girls, and boys teams from Hinsdale Central (Ill.), St. Anthony's (N.Y.) and La Cueva (N.M.) posted key victories to reinforce their lofty positions in this week's TopDrawerSoccer.com state and regional rankings.

On the girls side, Northern Highlands (N.J.) leaps to the top of the East girls soccer regional rankings after pinning a 3-1 defeated on Maria Carrillo to cap the Coast-to-Coast Challenge. Maria Carrillo defeated Immaculate Heart Academy (N.J.) a day earlier at the event that feature three of the SIMA FAB 50 Top 5 teams. Maria Carrillo entered the week No. 1 in California, the West region and the SIMA FAB 50. The Pumas retain the top spot in state and region, but the SIMA FAB 50 No. 1 position is poised to head to Northern Highlands, which jumps ahead of idle McDonogh School (Md.) in the region rankings.

Hinsdale Central moves to the top of Mid-East region rankings after edging Morton (Ill.) in penalty kicks in the Red Devil Cup final, which featured a pair of SIMA FAB 50 Top 25 teams. La Cueva moves to No. 2 in the West region following a strong showing at the Albquerue Public Schools city championship, beating regionally ranked Albuquerque Academy (N.M.) 3-0 in the final. St. Anthony's kicked off its season with a 2-0 win over Brentwood (N.Y.) in a rare meeting between Long Island Catholic and public school programs.
