Jennifer Steadings High School POTW
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Jennifer Steadings, a senior goalkeeper from Dorman High School (Roebuck, S.C.), has been named the NSCAA/TopDrawerSoccer.com High School Player of the Week.
Steadings made two crucial saves on penalty kicks against Byrnes High and preserving a 1-0 win. She also made 10 saves against one of the top girls programs in the state in Nation Riverside High School.
She followed up with a key performance against Wade Hampton High School, rejecting three penalty kicks in a shootout.
This week’s other nominee included Rose Ripslinger from Assumption High School (Davenport, Iowa).
The NSCAA High School Player of the Week program is designed to highlight the future stars of the game. Anyone can nominate a player, however only players whose coach is a current NSCAA member are eligible for selection. Honorees will be announced on Wednesdays.
