New No. 2 in NSCAA boys national poll
Just a week after scooting up to No. 2, St. Benedict's closest chaser was dealt a harsh loss and a severe drop in the NSCAA boys national poll released Tuesday.
North Carolina's Wesleyan Christian was a rock all season and shot out to a 13-0-0 start to climb to No. 2 in last week's poll. But a 1-0 loss against state power Greensboro last week snapped Wesleyan's immense 42-game win streak and dropped the High Point, N.C. program from the top 25 to the receiving votes section. Unbeaten Arlington moved up into the second spot behind a St. Benedict's team that hasn't lost since 2010.
Ann Arbor Skyline is tied for the second-most wins of any team in the top 25, and as a result of another strong week the Michigan program shot up from 20th to seventh in this week's poll as the state's highest-ranked program. Wisconsin neighbors Kettle Moraine, which has a poll-high 15 wins, reappears in the poll at No. 24 despite a setback earlier in the season.
