NOTES: Montverde Academy stretched its undefeated streak to 117 matches with a 1-0 win over Coppell (Texas) in the final of the Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament, which featured nationally ranked programs from four states. Andre Shinyashiki scored the match-winning goal and was named tournament MVP after scoring five goals in three matches. Defensive midfielder Matius Silva has committed to Saint Louis.

Rivera Brownsville, TX 7-0-0
Rivera rolled to a title at the Brownsville ISD Tournament, winning its four contests by a combined 31-3 margin. The closest match was the team's 6-1 win over McAllen. The Raiders were supposed to play SIMA FAB 50-ranked Porter for the crossover championship, but that match was canceled due to field issues.

Taylor Smith scored three goals to lead Flower Mound to a 4-0 win over Plano East.

J.T. Arruda scored goals in both outings as Buchanan defeated Fresno Central and Clovis East last week. Diego Banda added a pair of goals in the win over Clovis East.
6 Colleyville Heritage Colleyville, TX 4-0-3
Colleyville Heritage went 3-0-1 at the Kyle Fritz Memorial Cup to win the event.

Sam Houston, which pinned the lone loss to McKinney Boyd, tied Keller Central and Colleyville Heritage during the Kyle Fritz Memorial Cup. Heritage advanced to the final and won the event.

McKinney Boyd McKinney, TX 3-1-1
Boyd was held to a draw last week by Frisco Wakeland, but also pinned a 4-1 defeat on Allen. This week, Boyd faces Flower Mound on Tuesday in a district match.

Coppell Coppell, TX 4-2-0
For the second straight year, Coppell finished second in the Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament, losing the final to the host school. Coppell defeated Melbourne (Fla.) 2-0 in the opener, followed by a shootout win over Cathedral (Calif.) in the semifinals. Griffin Jaska, who scored both goals against Melbourne, and Colten Clark were named to the all-tournament team.

Cathedral Los Angeles, CA 10-1-6
Cathedral defeated Hamilton (Ariz.) 2-0 in the consolation match at the Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament to place third in the event. The Phantoms rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie Coppell (Texas) in the semifinals before falling in a shootout. Cathedral opened the tournament with a shootout win over Gulliver Prep (Fla.).

Gulliver Prep had the misfortune of opening the Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament against another Top 25-ranked program -- Cathedral (Calif.), and fell in a shootout following a scoreless match. The Raiders cruised to a consolation title with a 4-0 win over Melbourne in a battle of defending state champions, followed by an 8-0 mercy-rule victory over Auburndale. Andy Alvarez and North Carolina commit Alexander Moztarzadeh were named to the all-tournament team.
