School Facts: Private, 750 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy capped a seventh straight undefeated season with a 4-1 victory over Paramount (Calif.) in the MAST final. This year's team was led by forward Kizza Edward, who was named MAST MVP after scoring at least one goal in each of the team's three MAST victories. The Eagles defeated Watsonville (Calif.) and St. Paul's (La.) to reach the final. The team was ahead 3-0 within 15 minutes of every MAST match. Joao Lucas Santos and Ohio State signee Josh Jackson made the all-tournament team. Virginia-bound keeper Connor Jones was named Most Outstanding Keeper. So far 11 Montverde Academy seniors have signed with NCAA Division I programs.
2 (2) Godinez Santa Ana, CA 24-1-0
Bryan Ibarra scored twice, pushing his season total to 32 goals, as Godinez handled Valencia 4-0 in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 final. It's the second straight section crown for Godinez, which won Division 4 last season before getting moved up two divisions. The Grizzlies are the No. 1 seed for this week's CIF Southern California Regionals.
3 (4)

Strake Jesuit Houston, TX 15-0-3
Strake Jesuit clinched the District 19-6A crown with two matches to play following wins last week over Tompkins and Mayde Creek. 4 (6)

Cypress Bay Weston, FL 21-1-2*
Season Complete. Florida Class 5A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 4,400 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: David Corredor scored an early goal and it was enough to carry Cypress Bay to a 1-0 victory over Lakewood Ranch in the state final. Keeper Sebastian Deckers finished with five saves. The title marked the fifth in the past seven seasons for Cypress Bay, but this one was a more emotional victory for the Lightning, who had dedicated the season to a former teammate who died in a skateboarding accident in September.
5 (7)

McKinney Boyd McKinney, TX 11-0-8
Trey Marchino scored the lone goal as Boyd defeated Plano 1-0 last week. The Broncos also played Plano West to a scoreless draw. Despite the bevy of ties (one, actually was a PK setback at a tournament), Boyd has yet to be defeated on the field this year.
6 (8)

Pleasant Valley Chico, CA 23-0-0*
Season Complete. CIF Northern Section Division I champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,865 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Logan Hall scored twice and Pleasant Valley extended its undefeated run to 86 matches with a 4-2 victory over rival Chico. Pleasant Valley handed Chico all four of its defeats in an 18-4-2 season. Daniel Rodriguez, the team's top scorer, and Dante Jackson scored PV's other goals as it claimed a fourth straight section crown.
7 (10)

The Woodlands The Woodlands, TX 15-1-0

9 (13)

Alief Elsik Houston, TX 15-1-1
Mayno Linares appears to be the next offensive talent to hail from Alief Elsik. Last week the freshman scored five goals in the Rams' wins over Alief Hastings and Pearland Dawson.
10 (15)

Sam Houston Arlington, TX 14-2-1
Sam Houston capped a two-win week with a 2-1 decision over Mansfield last week. The win secured the District 4-6A title for the Texans.

12 (17)

Grand Prairie Grand Prairie, TX 14-1-3
Grand Prairie gets a chance to avenge its only defeat when it faces league rival Duncanville this week. Even if Grand Prairie wins the rematch it would need some help to catch Duncanville, who is four points clear with two matches remaining.
13 (23)

St. Augustine San Diego, CA 12-2-9
St. Augustine defeated Coronado 2-0 in the CIF San Diego Open final to earn the team the No. 1 seed in this week's CIF Southern California Regional Division 1 tournament. The Saints will face Edison in the quarterfinals.
14 (11)

After knocking off Oceanside in PKs in the semifinals, Coronado lost to St. Augustine 2-0 in the CIF San Diego Open final. Despite the result, the Islands advance to the Southern California Regional Division 1 tournament, where it opens play against El Toro.
15 (20)

Coppell inched back into ta tie with Dallas jesuit for the District 9-6A lead last week after Jesuit was upset in league play. After Coppell closes out league play on Friday, it prepares for a trip to Tennessee, where it will clash with one of the nation's top spring teams the following Thursday.
16 (18)

Northwest Rankin Flowood, MS 23-1-0*
Season Complete. Mississippi Class 6A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,450 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Defender Sumner Richardson had a goal and one assist as Northwest Rankin defeated Ocean Springs 2-0 in the state final. The result ended a four-year title run by Madison Central. Northwest Rankin's key win this year was a 2-0 decision over St. Paul's (La.). Interestingly, Northwest Rankin was outshot both in the win over St. Paul's and the in the state final, yet produced where it mattered most - on the scoreboard. The team was led by UAB commit Chandler Shirley.
17 (35)

El Toro Lake Forest, CA 14-10-0
Without a doubt, El Toro's run through the CIF Southern Section Division 1 tournament is the story of the postseason so far this year. The Chargers were their league champion, but a 4-8 season start, which included a lopsided loss to Servite, made this team a complete underdog. El Toro ran with that label, knocking off three then Top 15 nationally ranked teams in a five-game playoff run that flipped the team's record above the .500 mark. In the final, El Toro edged Redlands East Valley on PKs following a 1-1 match. The Chargers are the No. 4 seed in the CIF Southern California Regional Division 1 tournament this week, and faces Coronado in the quarterfinals.
18 (3)

Redlands East Valley Redlands, CA 23-1-1*
Season Complete. California Southern Section Division 1 runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 2,220 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Redlands East Valley's season ended with a shootout loss to El Toro in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 final. The match marked the end for the team and coach Ted Small, who had announced his retirement earlier in the season. REV, despite the high finish, declined a spot in the CIF Southern California Regionals. Leading to the section final, the Wildcats won three straight 1-0 matches over Redondo Union, Edison and Palos Verdes. Palos Verdes and Edison advanced to the regionals after REV passed on the opportunity.
19 (21)

Seabreeze Daytona Beach, FL 23-1-2*
Season Complete. Florida Class 3A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,650 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Franco Perez factored in both goals as Seabreeze defeated Merritt Island 2-0 for the program's first state title since 1993. Perez, a junior whose father played professionally in Uruguay, set up an own goal with a throw-in early in the match, and later scored a goal to finish with 23 on the season.
20 (27)

Season Complete. Arizona Class 6A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,550 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Fort Lewis signee Danny Baca's 37th goal of the year lifted Gilbert to a 1-0 victory over previously undefeated Tolleson in the state final. Baca's winner came in the final seven minutes of play. The win atoned for a state runner-up finish last year, when Gilbert allowed a late goal to lose to Hamilton.
21 (28)

Season Complete. Arizona Class 6A state runner-up.

23 (26)

Fleming Island Orange Park, FL 23-1-2*
Season Complete. Florida Class 4A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,100 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Mark Suhrer scored twice and Reed Davis scored his 50th goal of the season to highlight Fleming Island's 4-0 thrashing of Doral Charter in the state final. Fleming Island avenged its only loss of the season by winning a playoff rematch with Leon. Along the way to the final, Fleming Island edged Melbourne 2-1 in overtime in the state semifinals.
24 (22)

Oceanside Oceanside, CA 16-2-8
