NOTES: After a scoreless regulation, Episcopal fell behind 1-0 in overtime before rallying for a 2-1 win over John Cooper for the program’s fourth straight Southwest Preparatory Conference title. Division I prospect Victor Velasco and Juan Rodriguez combined for 50 goals on the season. The team, made up from several members of the Houstonians club title-winning team, outscored its opponents 73-3 on the season with two of the goals allowed coming on set pieces. Episcopal’s key victory was a 1-0 win over FAB 50 Central Catholic the week after Central Catholic beat FAB 50 Top 25 powers Cathedral (Calif.) and Loyola (Calif.).
2 (2) Southlake Carroll Southlake, TX 15-0-2
Southlake Carroll shut out Timber Creek and Keller last week to stay undefeated. The win over Keller actually clinched a playoff spot for the Dragons as the top four in the district advance.
3 (3) Montverde Academy Montverde, FL 13-1-1*
Season Complete. Independent school season.
School Facts: Private, 1,200 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy's bid for a ninth straight undefeated season came up short due to one December defeat, ending its national record undefeated run at 185 matches. The Eagles, however, defeated FAB 50-ranked Tampa Jesuit along with three other district champions and two district runners-up. The team featured goalkeeper Weston King (Louisville), Bernardo Gracindo (Northeastern), Bryan Moreira (Indianapolis), Bruno De Nez, Ricardo Paiva, Pedro Melo, Xavier Laneuville, Frederico Tramonina and Ricardo Rego.
4 (4) Sunnyside Tucson, AZ 24-0-2*
Season Complete. Arizona Class 5A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Fabian Mendoza scored two of Sunnyside's three goals during an 11-minute stretch as the Blue Devils stunned Campo Verde 4-0 in the state final. Sunnyside's undefeated season included an AZ Showcase title win over Arizona 6A champ Brophy Prep. Seniors Manuel Quiroz led the team with 39 goals and 21 assists while Adrian Virgen added 22 goals and 25 assists. The Blue Devils netted 115 goals.

Torrey Pines San Diego, CA 15-1-8
Torrey Pines, whose only loss was to Cathedral in the regular season opener, survived a pair of close calls in the CIF San Diego Section Open tournament to emerge as champions. The Falcons were pushed to shootouts by La Costa Canyon and Point Loma, and came away with the wins in both outings. Torrey Pines, which defeated San Clemente in penalty kicks at the Nike Showcase, will be the No. 2 seed in the Division I SoCal Regional tournament.

Daniel Tuscano's first-half goal carried San Clemente to a 1-0 victory over Cathedral in the CIF Southern Section Division I final. The Tritons will be the No. 1 seed in this week's Division I SoCal Regional tournament. These perennial CIF title challengers met in December at the Lotto Sport Western Showcase, where Cathedral won 2-1.

Cathedral's 10-match undefeated run ended with a 1-0 loss to San Clemente in the CIF Southern Section final. The Phantoms advance to this week's Division I SoCal Regional tournament as the No. 3 seed.

Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 21-0-2
Oswaldo Rojas scored both goals as Montgomery built a 2-0 lead and hung on for a 2-1 victory over Richmond in the CIF North Coast Division II final. The win marked the second straight section title for the Vikings. Montgomery will face Berkeley in the NorCal Regional quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Junior Kalani Kossa-Rienzi scored two goals as Berkeley handled De La Salle 4-1 in the CIF North Coast Division I final. The win sends the Yellowjackets into this week's Division I NorCal Regional tournament as the No. 3 seed, where it will face FAB 50 No. 8 Montgomery in the quarterfinals. The teams played to a draw during the regular season.

School Facts: Private, all-boys, 875 students, grades 8-12.
NOTES: Junior standout Michael Dufour scored all three goals as St. Paul's handled New Orleans Jesuit 3-0 in the state final. The teams had tied in an early season meeting. The win marked St. Paul's sixth state title in the last nine seasons. Dufour led the team in goals while senior Conner Walmsley was a key playmaker in the midfield and led the team in assists. St. Paul's only loss was an overtime setback to Cathedral (Calif.) at the North Texas Elite Showcase while Cathedral was playing with only nine men due to two red cards.

Mater Dei is the No. 5 seed for this week's Division I SoCal Regional tournament and will face Los Angeles City champ Birmingham in the quarterfinal round.

Tompkins used this crazy goal in the 78th minute to edge Seven Lakes 3-2 last week in a clash of FAB 50-ranked teams.

Jack Finders scored in overtime to lift El Segundo to a 2-1 victory over West Torrance for the CIF Southern Section Division II title. The Eagles will advance to this week's Division II SoCal Regional tournament as the No. 1 seed.

Sebastian Maza gave De La Salle hope, closing the gap to 2-1 before Berkeley pulled away for a 4-1 victory in the CIF North Coast Section Division I final. Despite the result, the Spartans advance to this week's NorCal Regional tournament, where it starts play against Fresno Central.

Casey Jaeb netted the lone goal as Bellarmine defeated Branham 1-0 in the CIF Central Coast Section Open final. It marked the Bells' 19th section crown, but first in the recently created "Open" division. Bellarmine advances to the Division I NorCal Regional championships, where it will face FAB 50 No. 27 Turlock in the quarterfinals.

NOTES: Logan Abele, Carson Edwards and Francesco Montanile scored the goals as Brophy Prep rolled to a rain-soaked 3-0 victory over Hamilton in the state final. Among Brophy's key results this year are ties with Servite (Calif.) and San Clemente (Calif.), two wins over Hamilton and Chaparral. Brophy lost in the AZ Showcase final to undefeated and Top 5-ranked Sunnyside.

NOTES: Loyola's dazzling season ended with an upset loss to Edison in the Southern Section quarterfinals. Loyola's only other defeat was to Central Catholic (Texas) at the North Texas Elite Showcase. The Cubs won the Mission League title and had key nonleague wins over Santa Ana, Downey, Santa Barbara and Marcus (Texas).

NOTES: Servite's season ended with a loss to Santa Ana in the Southern Section playoffs. Servite won the Trinity League after twice tying Mater Dei. The Friars also tied Arizona state champion Brophy Prep (Ariz.) and Cathedral and recorded key wins over Central Section champ Fresno Central and a four-goal victory over Florida 4A champ Auburndale (Fla.).

School Facts: Public, 1,650 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Auburndale delivered on the promise of a great season, winning the Class 4A state title 5-3 in overtime over Fort Lauderdale. Three players who have made this program nationally known over the past three years scored the final three goals en route to the program's first state title since 2007 -- Noah Sims, Ducarmel Jeannestin and Noah Stephens. Ben Pigg and Echoni Puis also scored in the final. Sims led the team with 30 goals and 25 assists. Jeannestin, a junior, added 27 goals and 23 assists. Stephens had 21 goals. Auburndale went 0-2-1 with only two goals scored at the Lotto Sport Western Showcase in California, tying Torrey Pines (winning on PKs), before losing to Servite and San Clemente. The team was 22-0-1 in Florida and scored at least three goals in 21 matches. The team had key wins over 2A champ Lake Highland Prep and regionally ranked Fletcher.

Chris Meyers, a junior, scored twice as Jesuit avenged one of its regular season losses with a 3-0 victory over Turlock in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Division I final. The Marauders are the No. 2 seed in this week's Division I NorCal Regional playoffs.
