The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

St. Paul's jumped out to a 3-0 lead and gave it all back before Michael Dufour scored in the final minute for a 4-3 state semifinal victory over regionally ranked Dutchtown. The Wolves advance to the state final for the 10th straight year where it will face Baton Rouge Catholic.
2 (2) San Antonio LEE San Antonio, TX 13-0-1
Efrain Cortes had a pair of two-goal outings as LEE handled San Antonio MacArthur 6-1 and South San Antonio 6-0.
3 (3) Alief Elsik Houston, TX 16-0-1
Elsik defeated Dawson and Hastings last week. Senior standout and UAB commit Mayno Linares had a goal and one assist in each match.

Marcus Flower Mound, TX 15-0-1
Marcus defeated a pair of regionally ranked teams last week, downing Lewisville 4-1 and Irving 3-0. The results put Marcus in complete control of the district race with an 8-0 record with six matches remaining. Lewisville is second at 3-2-2.

Wakeland Frisco, TX 16-0-1
Marc Borbonus scored four goals last week as Wakeland cruised to district wins over Frisco Liberty and Frisco Independence.

Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 21-0-1
Zack Batchelder scored all five goals for Montgomery as the Vikings handled Monte Vista 5-1. The victory sends Montgomery into the North Coast Section Division I semifinals against Clayton Valley Christian.

Boca Raton Boca Raton, FL 27-0-0
Daniel Lvov and Joao Negrao scored the goals and keeper Alejandro Pineda recorded his 24th shutout as Boca Raton defeated Cypress Bay 2-0 in the Florida 7A state semifinals. The Bobcats advance to this week's final against Boone.

Season Complete. Independent school season.
School Facts: Private, 1,200 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy has secured a 10th straight Top 10 finish during the 2019-2020 season. This team is likely to move up as the rest of the season plays out. The Eagles' marquee win came during the final week of play, a 3-2 decision over Top 25-ranked Tampa Jesuit. The first verbal commit from this year's Eagles team was Olivier Correa (Jacksonville), followed by Edward Mensah (Penn State) and Richy LaPointe (Jacksonville).

Duncanville edged Molina and Berkner last week, both by 1-0 scores, to stay undefeated.

Southlake Carroll Southlake, TX 15-1-0
Robbie Pino had two goals and four assists last week as Southlake Carroll routed Timber Creek and Keller. The Dragons are riding a 15-match win streak.

De La Salle Concord, CA 21-1-1
De La Salle is one win away from a possible clash with SIMA FAB 50 No. 6 Montgomery in the North Coast Division I final. The Spartans advanced to the semifinals with a 2-1 win over Pittsburg. De La Salle faces Berkeley in the semifinals.

Loyola Los Angeles, CA 22-2-3
UCLA commit Grayson Doody scored twice as Loyola avenged an early season loss with a 3-0 win over SIMA FAB 50-ranked Santa Ana in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinals. Doody struck again, along with Spencer Roberts and Liam Hook in a 3-0 win over Mission Viejo in the semifinals. The Cubs next will face Servite for the section title.

Tampa Jesuit Tampa, FL 23-3-2
Carson Bien and North Florida signee Zachary Board each had a goal and one assist and Kai Rodrigues added a goal as Tampa Jesuit handled Stanton 3-0 in the state semifinals. The Trojans next face Pembroke Pines Charter in the Florida Class 5A state final this week.

Central Catholic San Antonio, TX 16-2-0*
Season Complete. TAPPS Division I state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 550 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: NC State signee Jose Gallegos scored both goals, the second coming with little more than a minute remaining, as Central Catholic edged El Paso Cathedral 2-1 for the program's fourth straight state title. Gallegos, a TopDrawerSoccer Winter First Team All-American last year, is making a strong case to duplicate that honor in 2020. The Buttons have won five of the last seven TAPPS titles and nine overall. The senior class, led by Gallegos, never lost a playoff match. Central Catholic had a pair of one-goal losses to San Antonio LEE and Southlake Carroll. The team had key wins over former FAB 50-ranked Harvard-Westlake (Calif.), TAPPS Division II champ TMI and regionally ranked Houston St. Thomas.

Servite Anaheim, CA 11-5-9
Servite has put a run of early playoff losses in the past as the Friars have advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division 1 final and a showdown with Loyola. Servite reached the finals by knocking off University in the quarterfinals and Cathedral in the semifinals. Uriel Sanchez converted the winning PK in the shootout win over Cathedral after Portland-bound keeper David Mitzner made three saves. Servite and Loyola tied their regular season meeting.

Torrey Pines San Diego, CA 18-2-3
Torrey Pines opened postseason play with a 3-0 win over San Pasqual. The Falcons next face league rival Canyon Crest Academy in the San Diego Section Open semifinals. The teams split their regular season meetings.

Season Complete. CIF Southern Section Division 1 Quarterfinalist.
School Facts: Public, 2,500 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: After finishing second in league play, University got hot in the postseason, upending Mira Costa and then top-seeded San Clemente to reach the CIF Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinals. There, however, University's run ended with a 3-1 setback to Servite. Sophomore standout Gabe Hertel scored University's lone goal.

School Facts: Public, 2,230 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: San Clemente's stellar season came to an end with a shootout loss to University in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs following a scoreless match. San Clemente's season included a championship in the Lotto Western Showcase and wins over Servite, Santa Barbara, Santa Ana and Watsonville.

Season Complete. CIF Southern Section Division 1 semifinalist.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 750 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Cathedral's playoff run ended in a shootout loss to Servite in the section semifinals. The Phantoms could still earn an at-large bid to the regional playoffs. Cathedral and Servite played to a scoreless match before Servite advanced on penalty kicks. Cathedral's season included a win over Loyola and a draw with De La Salle and a section quarterfinal win over Santa Barbara in a 1-0 match where junior Diego Barahona netted the winner. Cathedral also placed fourth at the Tampa Invitational in Florida in an eight-team event that featured four teams in the SIMA FAB 50 and three other regionally ranked schools.

Season Complete. CIF Southern Section Division 1 Quarterfinalist.
School Facts: Public, 2,150 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Santa Barbara's stellar season ended with a 1-0 loss to Cathedral. The Dons only other loss was a 2-1 setback to San Clemente. In potseason play, Santa Barbara defeated Harvard-Westlake in overtime and SIMA FAB 50-ranked Mater Dei.

Fabian Mendoza scored three goals and Demille Flores added two as Sunnyside defeated Sunrise Mountain 5-2 in the state semifinals. The Blue Devils advance to a showdown with regionally ranked Carl Hayden.

Brophy Prep Phoenix, AZ 20-2-1
Junior Charlie Cobb and UC Irvine signee Case Montanile scored the goals as Brophy Prep defeated Red Mountain in the state semifinals. The Broncos, making a third straight state final appearance, will face regionally ranked Chaparral in the final.

Oak Ridge El Dorado Hills, CA 15-0-4
Oak Ridge handled Gregori 5-1 last week to advance to this week's CIF Sac-Joaquin Division I semifinals. The Trojans haven't technically lost a match since Jan. 30, 2019. The team was ousted in the playoffs lst year in penalty kicks in a match that ended in a draw.

Elijah Beverley, a junior, scored twice as Jesuit handled Sheldon 5-1 in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs. The Marauders and Oak Ridge would meet for the title if both win their semifinal contests.

University School Davie, FL 20-0-2
Sebastian Smith led the offensive with two goals and two assists as University School routed American Heritage-Delray 6-0 in the state semifinals. University advances to face Tampa Catholic in the Florida 3A final.
