The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Alief Elsik moves to the top spot on the heels of a 4-0 win over Hastings, and more importantly, a 5-0 win over Strake Jesuit, coupled with a draw by last week's No. 1-ranked squad. UAB commit Mayno Linares carried the team offensively with four goals and two assists. Edgar Renteria returns to the lineup after spending seven days on trial with Tigres in Mexico.

St. Paul's capped a perfect regular season with a pair of 8-0 wins last week. A couple St. Paul's players scored their first goal of the season in the one-sided win over Ponchatoula. Micheal Dufour scored the first three goals in St. Paul's regular season finale against Fontainebleau.

San Antonio LEE San Antonio, TX 7-0-1
Hugo Cerros had a goal and one assist in LEE's 3-1 win over South San Antonio. LEE's perfect run, though, ended with a 1-1 draw on Friday with San Antonio Johnson.

Doral Academy was idle last week.
5 (5) Wakeland Frisco, TX 12-0-0
Mary Hardin-Baylor commit Marc Borbonus had two goals and one assist in the team's 4-0 win over Frisco Memorial, and Columbia commit Bryson Bezdek served up three assists during Wakeland's 4-1 victory over Frisco last week.
6 (6) Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 16-0-0
Montgomery blanked Rancho Cotate and Healdsburg last week to stay perfect.
7 (7) Marcus Flower Mound, TX 9-0-1
Marcus defeated Irving Nimitz 5-0 and then capped the week with a 3-0 victory over Hebron with goals from three different players.
8 (8) San Clemente San Clemente, CA 19-1-2
Asa Gibson and Jovanni Gomez scored the goals as San Clemente edged league rival Mission Viejo 2-1 last week.
9 (9) Montverde Academy Montverde, FL 15-1-1*
Season Complete. Independent school season.
School Facts: Private, 1,200 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy has secured a 10th straight Top 10 finish during the 2019-2020 season. This team is likely to move up as the rest of the season plays out. The Eagles' marquee win came during the final week of play, a 3-2 decision over Top 25-ranked Tampa Jesuit. The first verbal commit from this year's Eagles team was Olivier Correra (Jacksonville).

Santa Barbara edged Santa Ynez 2-1 and handled Lompoc 5-0 to clinch the Channel League regular season title.

Duncanville shut out Berkner 2-0 and Dallas Skyline 4-0 last week to remain undefeated.

Ryan Baker scored twice as Boca Raton defeated Atlantic 5-0 last week to cap the first-ever perfect season for the Bobcats.

Robbie Pino scored the lone goal as Southlake Carroll edged Byron Nelson 1-0 in a key showdown last week. SIMA FAB 50-ranked Byron Nelson entered the match undefeated. The result leaves Southlake Carroll at the top of the district standings.

Naples tied a pair of matches last week. The Eagles, the top seed in the district playoffs, await the winner of Tuesday's Estero-Immokalee match.

Bishop Amat's undefeated run came to an end last week, still the team is tied atop of the league standings with SIMA FAB 50 No. 17 Cathedral. The teams clash for the second time this season on Wednesday.

Carson Bien had two goals and one assist and sophomore Baylen Young served up four assists as Tampa Jesuit mercy-ruled Tampa Jefferson 8-0 in a district semifinal match last week. The Tigers move on to the district final this week, and regardless of the outcome, will advance to the regional tournament.

Cathedral handled Salesian and La Salle last week to set up a winner-takes-all clash with Bishop Amat this week for the league title.

Loyola recorded one-sided wins over La Canada St. Francis and Chaminade to clinch the league title.

NC State signee Jose Gallegos had two goals and one assist in Central Catholic's 5-1 win over Antonian. The Buttons also defeated St. Dominic Savio 4-1 with goals from four players.

San Ramon Valley has won eight straight matches since a loss to SIMA FAB 50 No. 6 Montgomery. Last week, the Wolves defeated Dougherty Valley and Concord. Next week, San Ramon Valley and De La Salle clash with a league title possibly on the line.

De La Salle posted a pair of 3-1 wins last week, beating Granada and Amador Valley. The wins keep the Spartans on the heels of San Ramon Valley in the East Bay Athletic League race.

The Trinity League race will get cleaned up this week as SIMA FAB 50 No. 22 Servite, No. 23 St. John Bosco and No. 24 Mater Dei finish regular season play. Servite and Mater Dei enter the week in first and second in the league, with St. John Bosco still in striking range. Servite tied Mater Dei and regionally ranked No. 49 JSerra last week.

St. John Bosco clashes with Mater Dei this week in a match with Trinity League title ramifications. Last week, the Braves fell to JSerra but defeated Orange Lutheran to stay in the title chase.

Mater Dei received goals from three players in a 1-1 draw with Servite and a 2-1 win over Santa Margarita. A Monday showdown with St. John Bosco will go a long way in determining this year's Trinity League champ.
