NOTES: Montverde Academy stretched its undefeated streak to 117 matches with a 1-0 win over Coppell (Texas) in the final of the Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament, which featured nationally ranked programs from four states. Denver commit Andre Shinyashiki scored the match-winning goal and was named tournament MVP after scoring five goals in three matches. Defensive midfielder Matius Silva has committed to Saint Louis,. Forward Lucas Fagotti has committed to St. John's. Defender Jabari Newton has committed to Memphis.

Rivera continued to dominate local play, beating Harlingen 7-0 and Veterans Memorial 3-0 last week. This week, the Raiders clash with SIMA FAB 50-ranked Lopez.

Even without leading scorer J.T. Arruda, Buchanan won a pair of matches to take control of the Tri-Rivers league standings.

Borna Hashemi scored the lone goal as El Camino Real edged Taft 1-0. The result marked the second straight one-goal win for the Conquistadors.

The next seven days will be quite a test for North Mesquite as 10-1-1 J.J. Pearce is on the schedule Friday and then the Stallions face undefeated and regionally ranked Mesquite Horn next Tuesday.
