The fall season includes the following states: California (fall), Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.
The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

McDonogh faces Cumberland Valley (Pa.) and Lenape (N.J.) this week, but both matches are considered scrimmages since they occur before the first official start date for either Pennsylvania or New Jersey. The Eagles, then, will officially open play at the McDonogh Invitational on Sept. 5.
