FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

1 (1) Penn Mishawaka, IN 22-0-1
Lexi Scott converted the game-winning penalty kick as Penn edged FAB 50-ranked Noblesville in the semi-state final. The result puts Penn in the state final for the third straight year and extends the team's undefeated streak to 46 matches. Maya Lacognato staked Penn to a 1-0 first-half team with a goal assisted by Kristina Lynch. Noblesville tied the match in the second half, which led to overtime and eventually the shootout.
2 (2) Arlington LaGrangeville, NY 17-0-0
Six players scored as Arlington opened postseason play with a 6-0 victory over Ossining.
3 (3) Portland Jesuit Portland, OR 14-0-0
Portland Jesuit ended regular season play with a 4-1 win over Glencoe, marking the first goal the team allowed this year. The Crusaders also defeated Century. Cal commit Emma Treasure scored five goals last week and Gonzaga commit Sophia Brain scored four goals.
4 (4) Northern Highlands Allendale, NJ 15-0-0
Reagan Klarmann scoed twice and Northern Highlands raced to a 4-0 lead en route to a 5-1 victory over Pascack Valley in the Bergen County semifinals.
5 (5) Houston Germantown, TN 22-0-0
Houston received goals from four players in a 4-0 win over Arlington in the section final. The result gives Houston seniors a career 50-0 record at home. Houston advances to the state quarterfinals this week.
6 (6) Walsh Jesuit Cuyahoga Falls, OH 16-0-1
Julie Dziewisz scored three goals and Kathryn Ramicone added two as Walsh Jesuit defeated Nordonia.9-0 in its playoff opener.
7 (7) Central Catholic Lawrence, MA 15-0-1
In the past four games, Providence commit Elayna Grillakis has seven goals and six assists and Boston University commit Ashley Raphael has six goals and five assists.
8 (8) Freehold Township Freehold, NJ 17-0-0
Jasmine Colbert scored three goals in the team's win over Point Pleasant Boro. Freehold followed up that result with a 4-2 victory over Toms River East in the Shore Conference Tournament first round.

St. Anthony's Melville, NY 13-0-0
Brianna Passaro scored a goal in each outing as St. Anthony's defeated Kellenberg and Sacred Heart last week, the current second- and third-place leagues in the league.

Guerin Catholic Noblesville, IN 16-1-1
Elle Vuotto had two goals and one assist as Guerin Catholic defeated Columbus North 4-1 in the semi-state final, which sends the team into a state final showdown with top-ranked Penn.

Urbana Ijamsville, MD 14-0-1
Tennessee commit Abbey Burdette scored the first goal then assisted on High Point commit Caitlin Shepherd;s goal as Urbana defeated Archbishop Spalding 2-1 in a battle of undefeated Top 25 teams. Later in the week, Shepherd scored all three goals as Urbana won the Frederick County title with a 3-0 decision over Oakdale.

Grace Elliott scored twice as Westfield defeated Oak Knoll 3-0 to cap the two-win week with victory in the Union County semifinals.

Victoria Colatosti scored three goals last week as Northport won a pair of matches to stay undefeated.

Wayzata Minneapolis, MN 15-0-3
Northwestern commit Madison Lo came up with a couple big saves as Wayzata defeated the state No. 2-ranked Minneapolis Washburn 2-1 to advance to the state quarterfinals.

Issaquah Issaquah, WA 13-1-0
Kate Wilkinson had a goal and two assists as Issaquah avenged its only defeat of the year with a 4-0 win over Bothell.

Parkland Allentown, PA 21-0-0
Brooke Schutter had a part in four of the team's five goals last week in wins over Emmaus and Easton. Schutter scored three and assisted one as the team closed out a perfect regular season.

Archbishop Spalding Severn, MD 9-1-2
Sophomore Lauren Korsnick scored on an assist from junior Fifi Iluyomade as Spalding pulled even with Urbana, but 11 seconds later the team gave up a goal in the 2-1 setback to the FAB 50 No. 11 team.
18 (18) Strongsville Strongsville, OH 12-1-4
Strongsville defeated North Royalton 3-0 to start postseason play. The Mustangs could meet Medina later this week if both teams are able to reach the district final.
19 (19) Medina Medina, OH 14-1-2
Chloe Tesny scored twice as Medina opened postseason play with a 3-0 win over Highland. A rematch with Strongsville is possible if both teams won their Monday district semifinal contests.

Carmel Carmel, IN 15-2-2*
Season Complete. Indiana Class 3A section runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 4,830 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Carmel's season ended with a shootout loss to Guerin Catholic in the section final. Both of the Greyhounds' losses this season were to Guerin, which included a 1-0 setback earlier in the year. The section final result leaves longtime coach Frank Dixon on 499 career victories. During the regular season, Carmel had key wins over Toledo Notre Dame Academy (Ohio) and Noblesville and the Greyhounds tied Penn. During the postseason, Carmel pinned a 3-0 defeat on previously undefeated Brebeuf Jesuit. Junior Ashley Witucki, a Purdue commit, had two goals and one assist, sophomore Kelsie James, a Valparaiso commit, had a goal and senior standout Katie Soderstrom, a Butler commit, had two assists.

Moon closed out regular season play with a 4-1 win over Seneca Valley and 9-0 over Hopewell. The team is led offensively by Miami (Ohio) commit Delaney Snyder.

Pickerington North Pickerington, OH 15-1-1
Pickerington North's 7-0 playoff win over Teas Valley meant the four Ohio teams in the Top 25 combined to win their first-round playoff matches by a 22-0 margin.

Pennsbury Fairless Hills, PA 15-1-2
Pennsbury, which tied Council Rock South for the Suburban League National title, received the No. 3 seed for the upcoming District 1-AAAA playoffs.

Pennington School received goals from three players en route to a 3-0 win over Nottingham in the Mercer County Tournament quarterfinals.

School Facts: Private, 800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Brebeuf Jesuit's bid for a third straight state final ended in a playoff loss to Carmel, the team's only setback of the season. Brebeuf handed Guerin Catholic its only defeat. The Braves played to a tie with FAB 50-ranked Noblesville, and defeated Kentucky power Sacred Heart. Arizona commit Hallie Pearson led the team in goals and assists. Saint Louis commit Brianna Arthur was second in goals.
