FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi (independent schools) Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Jenna Chatterton had a goal and one assist as Noblesville defeated Hamilton Southeastern 3-1 for the sectional title. The contest was a battle of SIMA FAB 50 programs that saw Noblesville jump out to a 3-0 first-half lead.

Kelsie James had a goal and one assist as the Greyhounds won the sectional crown with a 2-0 decision over Guerin Catholic.

Lakota West capped an undefeated regular season with a 2-0 win over Oak Hills. Camryn Broz and Sydney Jones scored the goals.

Christian Academy was pushed to the limit but edged Ballard in a shootout following a 1-1 match in the district final.

Archbishop Spalding defeated Perry Hall and Notre Dame Prep to stay as the top-ranked team in what is shaping up as a very strong year in Maryland.

McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 11-1-0
McDonogh traveled to New York over the weekend where it posted a pair of statement results, edging Strongsville (Ohio) on a second-half goal and controlling St. Anthony's (N.Y.) 3-0. McDonogh and Archbishop Spalding clash next week with the IAAM A regular season title on the line.

Sacred Heart Academy Louisville, KY 19-1-2
Sacred Heart keeps marching toward a rematch with Christian Academy as the team powered its way to a 4-0 win over Atherton in a district final. Mallory Glass scored two goals. If Sacred Heart and Christian Academy both win their next playoff matches, they will square off in the region tournament. Christian Academy handed Sacred Heart its only loss of the season.

Pennridge won three matches last week, getting goals from several different players in victories over Central Bucks South, Souderton and Abington.

Sydney Masur had three goals and one assist last week as Montclair defeated Cedar Grove and Glen Ridge.
16 Northern Calvert Owings, MD 11-0-0
Northern Calvert made quite a statement last week, surprising Mercy 2-1 in a clash between ranked public and private school programs. The win puts Northern in the SIMA FAB 50 Top 25 for the first time ever.

Smithtown West Smithtown, NY 9-0-1
Smithtown West takes over the state's No. 1 ranking following two losses by St. Anthony's. Last week, Hannah Maracina scorted three goals in the team's 5-0 win over Northport. Nicole Menella had a goal in both of the team's wins, which included a 2-0 decision over North Babylon.
18 North Rockland Thiells, NY 12-1-0
North Rockland won three matches last week, pushing its win streak to 12 matches, which includes a 1-0 victory over St. Anthony's.

Mercy went 2-1 last week, losing to Northern Calvert before posting wins over Roland Park Country Day and Towson.

Strongsville went 1-1-1 during a grueling final week of regular season play. The Mustangs defeated rival Medina 1-0, then traveled to New York where it lost to McDonogh School (Md.) and tied St. Anthony's (N.Y.).
