FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi (independent schools) Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

1 (1) McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 6-0-0
McDonogh sent notice that this year's squad is a serious No. 1 title contender with a 4-1 victory over former FAB 50-ranked Pennington School (N.J.). Three of the Eagles six wins are against recent FAB 50-ranked teams. McDonogh now enters a grueling stretch with contests this week against No. 31 Mercy, then next week against No. 24 Cumberland Valley (Pa.) and the week after against No. 5 St. Anthony's (N.Y.) and No. 26 Strongsville (Ohio).

Eastern Voorhees, NJ 8-0-0
La Salle commit Kelli McGroarty scored seven goals and had three assists, and Rutgers commit Riley Tiernan had six goals and five assists as Eastern rolled to three victories last week. Eastern has three matches this week, capped with a showdown against Pennington School, which just lost to top-ranked McDonogh (Md.).

Beavercreek Beavercreek, OH 10-0-0
Beavercreek rolled to an 8-0 win over Huber Heights Wayne last week to extend the program's win streak to 34 matches.

Ramapo Franklin Lakes, NJ 5-0-0
Ramapo was able to cruise to a pair of wins last week, beating Passaic Tech 10-2 and Old Tappan 7-1. Villanova commit Mary Clare Langan led the way with five goals and three assists. Overall, 10 players scored goals for Ramapo last week, including sophomore standout and South Carolina commit Emily Chico.

St. Anthony's was held to a scoreless draw with Kellenberg last week. St. Anthony's stays in place in the rankings as it soon has a showdown with top-ranked McDonogh (Md.).

Portland Jesuit Portland, OR 6-0-1
Portland Jesuit's lengthy win streak was turned into an undefeated streak last week as the Oregon power was held to a scoreless draw by region-ranked West Salem. The result pushes the Crusaders down a few spots.
7 (7) Houston Germantown, TN 13-0-0
Houston netted 15 goals last week during one-sided wins over Arlington and St. George's.
8 (8) Anthony Wayne Whitehouse, OH 11-0-0
Anthony Wayne handled Toledo St. Ursula 4-1 last week before grinding out a 2-1 victory over Sylvania Northview. This week, Anthony Wayne faces FAB 50-ranked Mansfield Madison.
9 (9) Noblesville Noblesville, IN 8-0-2
Noblesville edged Zionsville 1-0 before posting a 5-0 victory over Brownsburg. FAB 50 No. 11 Brunswick (Ohio) had a 1-0 win over Brownsburg two weeks ago at the Lady Eagle Invitational. This week, Noblesville clashes with defending state champ and FAB 50 No. 17 Carmel and then takes on No. 21 Hamilton Southeastern the following week. All three teams are undefeated against Indiana opponents.
10 (10) Glastonbury Glastonbury, CT 3-0-0
UConn commit Chloe Landers netted the lone goal as Glastonbury edged Farmington last week.

Brunswick Brunswick, OH 9-0-1
Michigan State commit Jordan Wickes scored the lone goal as Brunswick edged Medina 1-0 in a clash of FAB 50 Top 25 teams to highlight the week. Last, Brunswick handed Westlake a 3-1 setback, which gave coach Scott Ward his 100th victory with the program. He sports a 100-29-29 record entering this week.
12 (12) Walsh Jesuit Cuyahoga Falls, OH 8-0-2
Walsh Jesuit shut out Gilmour Academy and Massillon Jackson last week to remain undefeated. The Warriors will play five private schools during its last six regular-season matches.

Brentwood has allowed only one goal this season.

Conestoga has scored three or more goals in every match this year, leading to a perfect start. Conestoga has a mid-October meeting with No. 24 Cumberland Valley, which might become an important rankings contest, depending on how CV fares with McDonogh (Md.) next week.

Ohio State commit Kailyn Dudukovich scored seven goals last week as Lakota West posted keys wins over Mason and Mount Notre Dame, sandwiched around a lopsided victory over Princeton.

Xavier commit Olivia Lawson scored six goals and Samford commit Caroline Donovan added a goal and two assists as Christian Academy rolled to an 8-2 win over Ballard.

Western Michigan commit Morgan Park hd a big week, scoring a goal and assisting on three as Carmel won matches over Warren Central and North Central. The Greyhounds clash with Noblesville this week in a meeting of state title challengers.

Mountainside blanked Oregon City and Clackamas last week to stay perfect. This week, Mountainside takes on West Salem, which tied Portland Jesuit. Mountainside and Jesuit will square off Oct. 7.

Sacred Heart Academy Louisville, KY 12-1-2
The much-anticipated clash between defending state champ Sacred Heart and 2019 title challenger Greenwood settled nothing on Sunday as the teams played to a scoreless tie.

Greenwood and Sacred Heart played to a scoreless match last week, leaving the teams side-by-side in the state, region and FAB 50 rankings.

Izzie Wallace had two goals and one assist in each outing as Hamilton Southeastern rolled to wins over Westfield and Mount Vernon. Ashley Wilson added three goals and one assist during the week.

Courtney Corcoran scored a pair of second-half goals to help Archbishop Spalding rally for a 3-2 win over Mercy in a clash of FAB 50-ranked teams. The win gives Spalding the upperhand in the IAAM race, which features three FAB 50-ranked teams: No. 1 McDonogh, No. 22 Spalding and No. 31 Mercy. The team finishing No. 1 in the IAAM during the regular season will have an easier path to the final as the No. 2 and 3 seeds would be slated to meet in the semifinals.

Medina suffered a rare regular season loss, falling to rival Brunswick 1-0 last week in a clash of Top 25 teams.

Cumberland Valley Mechanicsburg, PA 9-0-1
Cumberland Valley has allowed only two goals this season. That defense will be put to the test this week and next as the Eagles face regionally ranked Central Dauphin, State College and then top-ranked McDonogh School (Md.).
25 Parkland Allentown, PA 10-0-0
No team has held Parkland to fewer than three goals in a match this season, and the District 11 power sent a message loud and clear last week with a 7-2 thrashing of District 1 foe North Penn, which has played tight matches with several of that district's Top 10 programs.
