St. Charles North defeated Ankeny Centennial 3-1 in the final of the adidas Tournament of Champions in Iowa. A week earlier, the North Stars won the top flight at the PepsiCo Showdown.

West Des Moines Valley netted 14 goals while winning all three matches it played at the adidas Tournament of Champions. The eight-team bracket had teams from Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. The two Iowa teams -- Valley and Ames -- advanced to the final, but since they already play each other during the season, the tournament director flipped final day opponents and both Ames and Valley won.
