Juliette Haro and Texas A&M commit Barbara Olivieri gave Tompkins an early lead en route to a 3-2 win over Kingwood in the regional final. The win sends Tompkins to the state semifinals for the second time in three seasons. The school has been open for only five years.
2 (2) JSerra San Juan Capistrano, CA 22-0-3*
Season Complete. CIF SoCal Division I champion. Southern Section Division 1 champion.
School Facts: Private, 1,300 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: One of the most talented high school teams ever put it all together for a second Southern Section-SoCal Regional sweep in three seasons. Stanford commit Samantha Williams, a junior, scored the first and third goals in the team's final 3-1 win over Los Alamitos. Sophomore Abby Lynch, a Loyola Marymount commit, netted the game-winner. JSerra handed Los Alamitos its only two losses this season. JSerra was led by Santa Clara signee Isabella D'Aquila, who missed the regional tournament due to US Under-20 National Team commitments. Other featured players include juniors Jennifer Alvarado (UCLA), Rachel Bastone (Santa Clara), Isabella Beltran (Loyola Marymount), Kennedy Carter (Utah), Kendall Fritts (UCLA), Jordyn Gather (UCLA) and keeper Ryan Campbell (Stanford).
3 (3) Montverde Academy Montverde, FL 23-0-0*
Season Complete. Florida Class 4A state champion.
School Facts: Private, 1,200 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy put together one of the most dominant team performances ever in Florida, beating the state's No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 teams en route to a perfect season in which it allowed only three goals. Jody Brown, a junior and one of the nation's top prospects, scored the only goal in the 1-0 state final win over Archbishop McCarthy in a clash of undefeated teams. The two-time defending state champs are riding a 32-match win streak and have won 44 of their last 45 contests. The real strength of this Eagles' squad is the underclass, led by Brown and fellow national recruits Maria Tregansin and Kendall Ayers. From the senior class, Carmen Marin has signed with Florida International. Sabrina Botran is headed to Palm Beach Atlantic, Kalena Iwashita is bound for ASA College and Milla-Maria Kujala is headed to Daytona State.
4 (4) Southlake Carroll Southlake, TX 26-1-2
Texas signee Sydney Nobles scored two goals, Oklahoma signee Taylor Tufts had a goal and four assists and senior standout Madi Drenowatz netted her 30th goal of the season as Southlake Carroll routed J.J. Pearce 6-0 in the regional final.
5 (5) Los Alamitos Los Alamitos, CA 27-2-5*
Season Complete. CIF SoCal Division I runner-up. Southern Section Division 1 runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 3,350 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Los Alamitos' stellar season ended with a 3-1 loss to JSerra in the SoCal regional final. The Griffins' only losses this year were to JSerra -- both in tournament championship matches. Four-star prospect Tabitha LaParl, a sophomore, led the team with 31 goals. Santa Clara commit Colby Barnett, also a sophomore, had 17 goals, and Colorado commit Jayden Newkirk, a junior, finished with 11. Underclass players accounted for 75 of the team's 90 goals this season.

Season Complete. CIF NorCal Division I champion. North Coast Section Division I semifinalist.
School Facts: Public, 2,255 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Monte Vista scored a controversial overtime goal following a stoppage of play and edged Davis 2-1 in the NorCal final that pitted two of the nation's top programs. The Mustangs trailed 1-0 before Emiley Benner scored the game-tying goal. Monte Vista finished first in the highly competitive East Bay Athletic League, was upset in the section semifinals, yet advanced to the regional tournament and worked its way through a loaded field of competitors. The Mustangs defeated FAB 50-ranked Archbishop Mitty and Carondelet before beating Davis.

Season Complete. CIF NorCal Division I semifinalist. North Coast Section Division I runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 1,700 students, grades 10-12.
NOTES: Davis' bid for a first-ever NorCal title was thwarted in a 2-1 overtime loss to Monte Vista. Stanford signee Paige Rubinstein scored to give Davis a 1-0 lead befomore Monte Vista rallied. Davis played the regional tournament without Maya Doms, who was training with the US Under-20 National Team. Davis has gone 85-2-9 over the past four seasons, which includes four league and four section titles.
8 (8) Archbishop McCarthy Southwest Ranches, FL 25-1-0*
Season Complete. Florida Class 4A state runner-up.
School Facts: Private, 1,200 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Archbishop McCarthy's perfect season ended in a 1-0 loss to Montverde in a Class 4A final that featured the state's two top-ranked teams with perfect records. Considering five of the team's top six goal scorers are underclassmen, the Mavericks figure to be the Florida-South favorites again in 2019-2020.

School Facts: Public, 2,450 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Villa Park's season ended with back-to-back losses to two of the nation's top teams -- JSerra in the sectional semifinals and Los Alamitos in the regional quarterfinals. Villa Park won the North Hills League title and had key wins over Mater Dei and Aliso Niguel. Villa Park also tied Los Alamitos early in the season.

Season Complete. CIF SoCal Division I semifinalist. Southern Section Division 1 semifinalist.
School Facts: Private, 1,600 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Harvard-Westlake's only losses were to Los Alamitos, first in the section semifinals and then the regional semifinals. The Wolverines had several key underclass players that leave this team a favorite next year in the Southern Section. Harvard-Westlake tied Southlake Carroll (Texas) and Marcus (Texas) and defeated Vandegrift (Texas) during an undefeated run at the National Elite Prep Showcase. The Wolverines also edged Corona Santiago in penalty kicks in the section tournament and defeated San Diego champion Carlsbad in the regional tournament.

School Facts: Public, 3,580 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Santiago's stellar season ended with a shootout loss to Harvard-Westlake following a scoreless match. The Sharks' only onfield defeat came to Sunny Hills. Santiago defeated former FAB 50-ranked Temecula Valley in the playoff opener. The team also posted key wins over Vista Murrieta and Bishop Amat.

School Facts: Public, 2,300 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Bartram Trail's season ended with a 1-0 loss to Montverde Academy in the state semifinals. The Bears opened the season with a 3-0 win over Bolles School, which went on to win the 2A state title and find a home in the FAB 50. Bartram Trail was led by junior Tori Grambo, who has committed to Florida, and senior Taylor Radecki, who signed with Florida State.

School Facts: Private, 1,600 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: American Heritage gave South Florida its only title in 2019, defeating Gulf Breeze 2-1. LSU signee Taylor Dobles scored the game winning goal after a direct kick by Emily Thompson was deflected by the wall and ended up on the foot of Dobles, who took one touch before drilling a low shot into the net. Chloe Laureano, who had committed to Yale, scored American Heritage's first goal -- a penalty kick in the 44th minute. The win marked the 11th state title for the patriots' program. American Heritage's only loss was to Montverde Academy in the first week of the season.

School Facts: Private, all-girls, 800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Carondelet's season ended with a 2-1 loss to Monte Vista in the NorCal regional semifinals. In the quarterfinals, Carondelet routed Clovis North, the Central Section champion. During the season, Carondelet went 2-0-1 at the National Elite Prep Showcase and didn't allow a goal, which included wins over Marcus (Texas) and St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.).

School Facts: Public, 3,265 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Coppell's season ended with a 3-1 loss to Southlake Carroll in overtime. The Cowgirls were the District 6-6A champion, going 14-0 through league play. Coppell had key wins over McKinney Boyd, Hebron (twice) and Flower Mound Marcus (twice).

Highland Park University Park, TX 23-1-3
Texas commit Presley Echols scored the winning goal as Highland Park defeated Frisco Independence 2-1 in the regional final. The win sends Highland Park into the state semifinals for the sixth time since 2012.

School Facts: Public, 2,100 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: San Ramon Valley pushed Davis to a shootout before losing after a scoreless match in the NorCal semifinals. In the quarterfinals, the Wolves defeated Granite Bay 1-0 on a goal by Hannah Sprinkle. San Ramon Valley finished fourth in the East Bay Athletic league standings, then put together a perfect run through the North Coast Section tournament to earn a spot in the regional tournament.

NOTES: Archbishop Mitty's season ended with a 3-0 loss to Monte Vista in the NorCal regional quarterfinals. Mitty had upset Monte Vista early in the season. It was an interesting season for Mitty, which placed second in its league, but won the section championship with a youthful lineup.

School Facts: Public, 2,500 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Carlsbad's season ended with a 3-2 loss to Harvard-Westlake in the SoCal regional quarterfinals. UCLA commit Alexandra Wright and Santa Clara commit Marisa Bubnis, both underclassmen, scored Carlsbad's goals. During the season, Carlsbad won two out of three matches against FAB 50-ranked Our Lady of Peace.

School Facts: Private, all-girls, 550 students, grades 8-12.
NOTES: Senior Isabella Pflug scored in stoppage time to lift St. Scholastica to a 2-1 victory over Northshore in the state final. The result capped an undefeated season and a second straight state title for the Doves. Junior Brooke gave St. Scholastica a 1-0 early in the second half lead before Northshore drew even just minutes later. The Doves were led by Alabama signee Sydney Vincens, who finished with 19 goals.

NOTES: Perry allowed only one goal through 25 matches, then allowed two in a driving rain during a 2-1 loss to Chaparral in the state final. Mikella Reed scored Perry's lone goal, which came in the final minute. Junior Brenna Alderson, sophomores Reed and UNLV commit Joelle Lujan were the team's leading scorers this season.

School Facts: Private, 650 students, grades PK-12.
NOTES: St. John's Country Day won a record eighth straight state title. This perennial North Florida power suffered its only defeats on back-to-back days, losing to Archbishop McCarthy and Montverde Academy -- a pair of FAB 50 Top 10 programs. The Spartans defeated FAB 50-ranked, Florida 2A champ Bolles. This year's SJCD team was led by Princeton commit Kamy Loustau, who finished with 32 goals.
