Rank School Record
1 JSerra San Juan Capistrano, CA 0-0-0
JSerra lost three key players from last year's national title-winning team (one to graduation, two to injury), but the Lions remain loaded. Stanford commits Ryan Campbell and Samantha Williams lead the way with UCLA-bound Jordyn Gather and Colorado-bound Kendyll Fritts returning. The team has several other NCAA Division I commits, as well, but will have to survive a loaded SoCal section for a FAB 50 title repeat.
2 Los Alamitos Los Alamitos, CA 0-0-0
Los Alamitos' only losses last year were to JSerra. With four all-county players returning, the Griffins figure to give JSerra quite a run for the state, region and national No. 1 rankings. The team is expected to be led by Pepperdine commit Tabitha LaParl, Santa Clara commit Colby Barnett, Colorado commit Jayden Newkirk and Washington State commit Khalia Gathright.
3 Monte Vista Danville, CA 0-0-0
Yes, Monte Vista graduated quite a few players from last year's regional title-winning team, but the expected return of UCLA commit Megan Edelman and Stanford commit Julia Leontini keeps expectations high for this team.
4 Montverde Academy Montverde, FL 0-0-0
Montverde Academy features the best player few have heard of in the U.S. That's because Jody Brown, a Florida State commit, is from Jamaica, where she plays for that country's full women's national team and recently played in the Women's World Cup. The standout was a TopDrawerSoccer All-America first-team selection last year after leading the Eagles to a perfect season. Another perfect season could vault the Eagles to No. 1 in the SIMA FAB 50.
5 Carondelet Concord, CA 0-0-0
Much like Monte Vista, Carondelet graduated some important players, but returns plenty of talent -- inlcuding the team's top two scorers from last year. Ellie Ospeck, a Notre Dame commit, and Jordyn Young, who is committed to California, are expected to return for the Cougars.
