U15 Girls State Premier 1 Winter

The 2015 NorCal Spring Showcase marks the final weekend of the U15 Girls Winter Premier 1 division. Entering the weekend, Davis Legacy Red hold a five point advantage, and can clinch the Winter title with a win Sunday afternoon against Marin FC. Regardless of the result against Marin, Davis has already clinched one of the two automatic spots from the Winter division for the 2015-16 Champions League. U15 Girls Champions League winner, Placer United, is in second place and can win the league title with wins over Ajax United and Sacramento United if Davis loses to Marin FC. Ajax United, who sit in third place, must overtake Placer United to gain automatic entry in the 2015-16 Champions League. Their head-to-head meeting on Saturday morning will be crucial. Granite Bay FC, Sacramento United, and North Bay Elite all have outside shots at the second Champions League spots, but will need maximum points and help to qualify.

U16 Girls State Premier 1 Winter

The U16 Girls State Premier 1 Winter division concludes this weekend at the 2015 NorCal NPL Spring Showcase. Galaxy Blues currently sit in first place entering the final weekend of play and can win the Premier 1 Winter title with a win over Marin FC on Sunday afternoon. Galaxy Blues have already clinched one of the three automatic spots in next year's Fall Champions League. Placer United and FC Elk Grove can both catch Galaxy. FC Elk Grove will need to win both games and hope Galaxy tie or lose to Marin FC. Placer United can win the league with two wins and a Galaxy loss to Marin. FC Elk Grove can join Galaxy Blues and Placer United (NPL Champions spot) in next year's Champions League if they can secure at least four points this weekend. Sacramento United is one point back, but is likely to need two wins this weekend to finish in the top three and book a 2015-16 Champions League spot. SCA Black and Marin FC also have outside shots of finishing in the top three, but will need six points and teams ahead of them to drop points.

U17 Girls State Premier 1 Winter

The final weekend of play in the U17 Girls State Premier 1 Winter division takes place this weekend at the NorCal NPL Spring Showcase. Davis Legacy 99 enters the weekend in first place, needing a win or tie against Juventus Zebre on Saturday afternoon to clinch the division title. Juventus can win the league with a win over Davis 99 and a win or draw against Marin FC Blue. Five teams are still vying for the three 2015-16 Champions League spots awarded to the Premier 1 Winter division. Davis Legacy 99 has already qualified. Juventus Zebre can qualify with three points out of their final two matches. Marin FC can clinch with six points out of their final three games. Davis Legacy 98 is currently in fourth place, but play Marin FC head-to-head on Saturday, and can qualify with a pair of wins this weekend. Sacramento United is also in contention, but will need to win both of their matches and hope for others to drop points. They are currently sitting on eight points, three points back of third place Marin FC.

U19 Girls State Premier 1 Winter

The 2015 NorCal Spring Showcase marks the final weekend of play for the U19 Girls Winter Premier 1 division. Placer United 97 Gold currently sit in firm control of the division with a four point lead over second place Sonoma County Alliance. If Placer United 97 beat Ajax United on Saturday, the league title will be theirs, however, if they lose or draw and SCA wins, the teams will battle for the league title head-to-head on Sunday afternoon. FC Elk Grove Navy also has a slim chance at winning the league, but will need wins in both matches and Placer United to only secure one point over the weekend.
