With the return of the Division I men’s soccer season, it also marks the return to action for scores of MLS Academy alumni around the country.

While the best of the best from pro academies are all electing to turn pro, plenty out there are still playing college soccer.

Below is a team-by-team look at how MLS Academy alumni fared over the past week at the Division I level.

Senior GK Charlie Lyon started, played 90 minutes and made three saves in Marquette’s 2-0 win against Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Sept. 17. He also started, played 90 minutes and made three saves in a 2-0 win against Northern Illinois on Sept. 20.

Sophomore M Daniel Jodah started and played 69 minutes in Marshall's 4-0 loss against Bradley on Sept. 19. He also came off the bench, played 63 minutes and scored a goal in a 1-0 win against Evansville on Sept. 21.

Junior M Declan Rodriguez started and played 90 minutes in Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s 2-0 loss against Marquette on Sept. 17. He also started and played 110 minutes in a 2-2 draw against Northern Illinois on Sept. 23.

Junior GK Callum Irving started, played 110 minutes and made seven saves in Kentucky’s 0-0 draw against Furman on Sept. 19. He also started, played 90 minutes and made two saves in a 2-1 loss against Louisville on Sept. 23.

Junior MF Ben McKendry started and played 106 minutes in New Mexico’s 1-1 draw against Drexel on Sept. 19. He also started and played 90 minutes in a 2-0 win against VCU on Sept. 21.
