BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (4-6-1/1-3) withstood some early pressure from visiting Oswego (0-9-2/0-4-1) before dominating the Lakers the rest of the way in a 3-0 SUNYAC victory today at Coyer Field.

Oswego pushed the pace in the early going and possessed the ball for the bulk of the first 10-plus minutes of the game, but Buffalo State struck first on a goal by Dylan Ross (Staten Island/St. Peter's Boys) in the 21st minute. Ross headed the ball to the back of the net off a long service from Daniel Aguilar Lobo (Brentwood/Brentwood).

The Bengals dominated play the rest of the way and got second-half goals from Stephen Linderman (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) and Keegan Lezama (Milton, ON/Bishop Reding). Linderman netted his first as a Bengal in the 64th minute when he defeated a defender 1-on-1 and ripped a shot inside the left post. Lezama completed the scoring connecting on a long shot from the left wing off a pass from Joe Vucic (East Aurora/East Aurora) in the 87th minute.

Buffalo State finished with a 17-6 advantage in shots and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. Ian Huntoon (Stamford, CT/West Hill) needed to make just two saves to earn the shutout between the pipes for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will host another SUNYAC rival tomorrow when Cortland visits Coyer Field at 1 p.m.
