Terry Michler celebrated win No. 900 over the weekend, but truth is he passed that milestone last year -- maybe the year before.

Even Michler is unsure.

The longtime Christian Brothers College (St. Louis, Mo.) coach sports a 900-210-99 career coaching record at his alma mater, where he has guided the program since 1971. He hit victory No. 900 at CBC when junior E.J. Verhulst scored in overtime of a 2-1 win over rival Chaminade (St. Louis, Mo.) on Saturday.

Michler uses his 45-year mark as his "official" record, even though he coached two seasons at Bishop Hogan (Kansas City, Mo.) before taking over the CBC job. Michler told TopDrawerSoccer several years ago that he has no recollection or information on his record at Bishop Hogan. The school is now known as Hogan Preparatory Academy.

Michler's 900th victory highlighted last week's national high school action, a week that saw no change among the 14 region No. 1 teams in the TopDrawerSoccer rankings. Several states kickoff regular-season play this week, and front and center will be two crucial high school girls soccer events. There will be a SIMA FAB 50 No. 1 vs. No. 2 clash Friday when top-ranked Maria Carrillo (Santa Rosa, N.J.) takes on No. 2 Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, N.J.). Maria Carrillo faces No. 4 Northern Highlands (Allendale, N.J.) on Saturday to wrap up the Coast-to-Coast Challenge, hosted by Northern Highlands. For sheer volume of ranked teams, this week's Zionsville Lady Eagle Invitational will pit nationally ranked programs from several Midwest states.

TopDrawerSoccer will be following all of the key action at both events this weekend.
