HS: Fall state, region rankings, Nov. 13
Loveland, Indian Hill and Summit Country Day girls gave new meaning to the Queen City last weekend.
For the first time ever, Cincinnati schools swept all three Ohio state tournament classification championships with Loveland at Division 1, Indian Hill in Division 2 and Summit Country Day in Division 3. The trio combined for a 66-2-1 showing, which includes one head-to-head matchup. Loveland was No. 1 in Ohio when the week started, and secured the state and region top spot with a state final win over Perrysburg. Indian Hill moves to No. 2 in the state and region, followed by Summit Country Day, whose only loss in a 22-1 season was a 3-2 setback to Indian Hills.
In other big girls soccer news, Massachsuetts and Pennsylvania saw major overhauls in their state rankings following a rash of postseason surprises. Both states compelete tournament play this weekend.
On the boys side, Martin Luther King (N.Y.) and Delbarton School (N.J.) completed undefeated seasons with championships last week, wins that will result in both teams finished in the FAB 50 Top 5.
