For any soccer player that dreams of collegiate soccer, the Villanova soccer camp provides you one of the best opportunities to catch the eye of top coaches from around the country. The camp typically brings in a large group of head coaches from around the country to teach the game and scout the talent on display. Held at Villanova’s first-class athletic facilities, the Villanova soccer camp allows students the opportunity to get a first-hand glimpse of what college soccer is all about.

The camp is an intimate one, with just 100 players participating during the first four-day installment, the Elite 100, which is geared for rising 10th-12th graders ready to take the next step in their college recruiting process.  Later in the summer, the Elite 200 and the Future Stars 200 camps bring in a more widespread age group of players. Though, as the number suggests, it still retains a tight-knit and determined group.

With such a restricted camp size, each player will have plenty of opportunity to showcase their talent to top coaches from major college programs like Northwestern, Villanova andGeorgetown. Several past campers have gone on to have impressive careers in professional soccer, such as Mike Seamon, who attended Villanova and was drafted by the Seattle Sounders in the 2010 MLS Draft.

"The personal attention that I received at the Villanova Soccer Camps was exactly aligned with the intimate experience I received as an undergraduate student at Villanova. Villanova was the perfect institution for me to develop the good habits on and off the field and within my personal life to be ready to succeed. I owe a lot to Coach Carlin and love Villanova & the soccer program." – Mike Seamon

Tactically, the camp helps develop soccer players by working on skills to initiate forward possession, with an objective of breaking down opposing defenses. The course also highlights the importance of a dynamic first touch that can throw defenders off guard and give your game an extra edge.

Defensive training focuses on aggressive and collective teamwork, highlighting individual balance and footwork, while also incorporating defensive tips for working as a unit.

Preparing for college soccer goes beyond just the game itself, however, and the Villanova soccer camp puts young players right into the heart of a Big East college campus.  Off-field instruction helps players to learn the values of academics, work ethics, nutrition, and learning the NCAA rules pertaining to the recruiting process in addition to how student athletes must act as role models for any school.

This soccer camp is excellent for soccer players with big goals.  To understand the level of play required at the next level of the game, and to get a great crash course in what college soccer is all about, the Villanova soccer camp is one of the premier training grounds in America.
