2011 Girls Top 100 rankings released 10/22
October 22, 2009

In the final release of our Top 100 Rankings, we unveil the 2011 Girls for your debating pleasure.

After answering your calls, emails and inquiries as best we could we give you the final starting point of what will undoubtedly be a source of discussion throughout the year as our rankings change.

Leading off this special group is one of the fastest guns in Texas, and anywhere else for that matter. Chioma Ubogagu has the kind of speed most players dream about. The D’Feeters striker has an extra gear, and the ability to shred a defense with the ball at her feet.

Like Ubogagu, (2) Samantha Mewis, (3) Morgan Brian, (4) Cate Parchinski and (5) Alexandra Doll have all been found at national camps and on U.S. teams and should be mainstays near the top of this list.

Quick attacking forward Olivia Schultz comes in at No. 6, while  Real So Cal teammates (7) Vania Robles, a speedy striker, and defender (8) Marie Mackenzie are both tearing up the Coast Soccer League and begin in the top 10.

Midfielders (9) Dana Rosney, of Albertson SC, and Fort Wayne Fever’s (10) Sarah Killion round out the top 10 and have continued to grow since performing well at the Adidas ESP last April.

It’s important to note a couple of changes as you follow these rankings throughout the year.

Players are now judged solely within their graduating class against their peers. This change is explained in our new ratings criteria (under the Players To Watch  tab). Star ratings will be reevaluated annually based on performance and accomplishment each year.

Another change you will notice is that some players will initially have no star rating (ie. NR). This simply means that our scouts have not been able to accurately rate this player and when they do an appropriate rating will be awarded.

As always, we encourage your feedback! Email us at rankings@topdrawersoccer.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We are inviting you to become part of the process to ensure our ratings and rankings are accurate. Please do not use this open dialogue for complaints, criticisms, or propaganda – but rather as a forum to make Players To Watch better than ever!

Ladies and gentleman, your 2011 Top 100 Girls!
