2014 commits early after thorough process

2014 commits early after thorough process
March 30, 2012
Ashton Miller is way ahead of schedule.

The Michigan Hawks midfielder navigates the field with a technical proficiency that eludes some of her peers, and a decisiveness that belies her age.

A 2014 graduate, Miller recently committed to Duke completing a process that was far from impulsive.

“I have been looking at schools intensely for about a year now,” she said. “Duke appealed to me because over all it had everything I was looking for: the campus was gorgeous, the girls were extremely nice and the soccer is great.”

A player that sees the whole field, Miller clearly reviewed her options before picking the Blue Devils.

“I narrowed my list of favorite schools down to about three before I made a final decision,” said Miller, a former invitee to the U.S. U14 National ID Camp. “Although it’s been fun, I was ready for it to be over with as it’s a stressful process. I also know that I haven’t reached my full potential yet and I’m continually working to get there.”

Other commitments include:

Taylor Francis (CASL) has verbally committed to Pittsburgh for the 2013 season. She is a US Club Id2 Camp player.
