2016 Girls Regional Rankings update

We talk a lot at TopDrawerSoccer about the outstanding youth players in the IMG Academy 150, but there are hundreds of others in each age group that deserve recognition as well. So, each Friday following the Monday release of an IMG Academy 150 update, we highlight eleven of the regionally ranked players from around the country for that class. Today, it’s the 2016 Girls.

Haley Walker-Robinson, Defense, Carlsbad Elite – Another Ohio State commit on this list, Walker-Robinson is part of a center back duo that hasn’t conceded a goal in National League play this season.

Christina Barry, Defender, Minnesota Thunder Academy – Barry is a commanding center back for David Alberti’s U18 ECNL squad who is headed to Vermont in the fall.

Kennedy Yearby, Defender, Syracuse Development Academy – Another National League star, Yearby is part of a defense that allowed just five goals in league play. She is committed to Cornell.

Natalie Winters, Midfield/Defense, Michigan Hawks – Winters, an Iowa commit, has been a part of U.S. U18 and U19 Women’s National Team camps in recent months, and has helped her team to a 10-2-1 record in ECNL play.

Lisa Cedeno, Midfield, Boca United – Cedeno, along with her twin sister Lorena, played in 10 matches for Boca’s U18s, helping their team to a current second place in the ECNL Southeast Conference. Boca will be without the twins, however, during the spring season, as both have already enrolled at North Florida.

Jade Ruiters, Midfield, Maryland United – Ruiters is dual-rostered on Maryland United’s ECNL and USYS National League teams. The Boston College commit commanded the midfield during National League play, helping her team to a first place finish in the Red Division and a chance to compete for a USYS National Championship next summer.

Malia Lyken, Forward/Defender, Cook Inlet SC – Lyken received most valuable player honors for her nine-goal effort at the 2014 USYS President’s Cup, leading her team to the national title. The UC Davis commit from Alaska also attended October’s U19 WNT camp.

Allison Jorden, Midfield, SC Del Sol – Jorden received praise from multiple coaches in her region for her play in central midfield. She has led the Del Sol U17s to an 8-1 record in the Southwest Conference to this point in the season. Jorden is committed to Indiana.

Keely Cartrett, Midfield, Atlanta Fire United – The creative attacking midfielder’s commitment to Alabama was featured on TopDrawerSoccer.com in January of 2015. Also, Cartrett was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Atlanta Unsigned Showcase Best XI in 2014.

Megan Kammerdeiner, Forward, McLean YS – Kammerdeiner, an Ohio State commit, is McLean’s leading scorer with 12 goals on the season, leading her team to the top of the ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference standings.

Haley Jordahl, Forward, Kings Hammer Academy – Jordahl is Hammer’s most dangerous weapon, providing five goals in four matches during USYS National League play, while leading her team to a 4-0 record with one weekend left to play. She is committed to Wake Forest.
