TopDrawerSoccer unveiled the IMG Academy Top 150 Players for the girls class of 2018 on Monday. The new ranking is second class to be released as part of the summer update. The boys class of 2018 was released last week.

Summer Rankings: Girls 2018 Top 150 | Boys 2018 Top 150

The TopDrawerSoccer staff assembles IMG Academy Top 150 player ranking with the help of coaches and scouts throughout the country. Hundreds of players are recommended for the list and the staff trims the list down to the top 150 players.

For the summer update, the big move is forward Sophia Smith taking over the top spot in the ranking. The Real Colorado star continues to shine at every level and has been the most talked about prospect in the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team pipeline over the past six months. Smith is a Stanford commit.

Outside of Smith, there were a number of other players who made moves up the rankings thanks to their play in the ECNL postseason, high school team, or their play with a youth national team. The various events over the past few months helped shape the change in the rankings.

The recently unveiled TeamSnap High School All-America lists also had an influence on the update to the rankings. A number of the players from that list either moved up in the rankings or joined the top 150.
