2018 Girls Regional Rankings update

Each Friday following the Monday release of an IMG Academy 150 update, we highlight eleven of the regionally ranked players from around the country for that class. All were recommended for their respective regional lists by our network of scouts and coaches.

You can check their rankings as well as all the other regionally ranked players here as we update them throughout the next couple of weeks.

GK Meagan McClelland, PDA – The goalkeeping duo of McClelland and fellow regional standout Grace Barbara has allowed just two goals in six matches for the undefeated PDA U16 ECNL squad. McClelland was a TDS Unsigned Showcase participant in 2015 where she earned a shutout in the full-field scrimmage.

D Allie Rathbun, Jacksonville FC – Rathbun moved to JFC from Storm SA in Savannah, GA for the 2015-16 season. She was invited to the 2015 ODP National Training Camp, and was named to the TDS Best XI at the ECNL Sanford Showcase in December.

D Ashley Zugay, Vardar SC – Zagar’s ability to get forward and whip in crosses from her left back position has earned her four goals and five assists for Vardar’s U16 ECNL team as well as recognition from TDS as one of the daily standouts from the ECNL Texas Showcase in February.

D Lindsi Jennings, Colorado Storm – The outside back can play on either the right or left side of the back line, and has two goals for the Storm U16 ECNL team.

D Madison McBurnett, D’Feeters – The Arkansas recruit earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com best list from the ECNL Sanford Showcase.

F Caitlin Shepherd, Maryland United – Shepherd’s offensive efforts have landed her four goals in nine matches for Maryland United’s U16 ECNL team, and recognition as one of the standouts at the ECNL Sanford Showcase in December.

M Lucy Kellogg, McLean SC – Kellogg was faced with the daunting task of trying to stop IMG Academy No. 2-ranked Catarina Macario at the 2016 ODP National Championships, and while Cal South ODP and Macario, who scored twice in the contest, prevailed, Kellogg was a bright spot for her team, earning a Best XI nod from TopDrawerSoccer.com at the event. Kellogg was also a member of the ODP Region I team at the ODP Interregionals in December.

M Megan Reilly, Challenge SC – The center midfielder has four goals and six assists for the Challenge U16s that sit midtable in the Texas Conference. Reilly is being recruited by a number of top D1 schools.

M Kylie Hanson, Washington Premier FC – Hanson commutes from Coeur D’Alene, Idaho to play for the WPFC U16s. She is a TDS Unsigned Showcase alum where she earned a spot on the Best XI list, and was recognized as a standout at the recent ECNL Texas Showcase.

F/MF Makayla Christensen, FC Nova – Christensen plays either as a forward or in a holding midfield roll for Eric Simmonsen’s U16 ECNL squad, and has made a verbal commitment to Utah.

F Kristina Lynch, Indiana Fire – The wide forward is the second leading scorer on the Fire U16 ECNl team, with six goals and four assists in ten matches this season. She is verbally committed to Florida State.
