10. Brooklyn Raines – CM – Houston Dynamo
DOB: 3/11/2005 | HT: 5-8 | WT: 139 | Last Year’s Ranking: 12
The central midfielder has a big opportunity ahead of him, with Designated Player Hector Herrera injured at the start of the season. The soon-to-be 19-year-old isn’t going to replace a player of that caliber, but it’s a need for the team regardless. Raines handled a mid-week start in the Concacaf Champions Cup against MLS opposition relatively well; it will be interesting to see how he handles himself in the coming weeks. Winning the trust of head coach Ben Olsen won’t be easy, though there’s little doubt Raines has that ability.
