The opening weekend of the women's college soccer season did not dissapoint with multiple unexpected results shaking up the rankings. The two most prominent were Samford(w) earning a 0-0 draw at No. 9 Notre Dame(w), then UTSA(w) holding on to a thrilling 2-2 result at No. 6 TCU(w).

Elsewhere a few team stormed into the Top 25, namely Wake Forest(w) who made a resounding statement by defeating No. 17 LSU(w) and No. 23 South Carolina(w).
