The Girls Academy playoffs from the SoCal Sports Complex wrapped up on Wednesday with the quarterfinal round from the 05 age group. The four victorious sides advance to the semifinals in North Carolina in July. 

There were a few local rivalries on display in the quarterfinal round from this age group. Utah Royals FC-AZ earned bragging rights in Arizona with a 3-1 win over neighbors SC del Sol. Weston FC beat Tophat 3-0 in a showdown between Southeast powers. Cincinnati United CUP defeated Lonestar 2-1 and Oakwood topped Colorado Rush in a penalty kick shootout in the other two games.
