Real So Cal standout midfielder Leonel ‘Beto’ Alvarenga gave his verbal commitment to UC Irvine on Wednesday. The talented playmaker has been a fixture in the Development Academy for a number of years and has previous experience with the U.S. Youth National Teams.
“Well besides the campus and education, UC Irvine seemed to be a perfect fit for me,” Alvarenga told TopDrawerSoccer. “I've seen their style of play and I think I would be able to fit into their system. They've been a top team in the past couple of years and I hope to improve as a player and hopefully reach a title.”
