Earlier this month, U.S. Soccer introduced U20 Men’s National Team head coach Tab Ramos as the new Youth Technical Director. Ramos replaced Claudio Reyna, who withdrew from the position in May when he was appointed as the Director of Soccer Operations with New York City FC.
Ramos is tasked with continuing the process that Reyna started, which was integrating a common playing style from one national team to the next. Reyna also helped implement a U.S. Soccer curriculum for youth coaches, which focused on many of the principles that help develop technically proficient players in the younger years.
