Elle Hennes, Midfielder, World Class FC/The Brearley School 
Class: 2027
Commitment: Michigan

Part of a quality WCFC 09 team, Elle Hennes is heading to a Big Ten program after making her commitment this summer.

It was a decision heavily influenced by her upbringing.

“I decided to commit to the University of Michigan because of the combination of elite athletics and elite academics," Hennes told TDS. “ Michigan was always my first choice. My father is an alum of Michigan, so I grew up attending Michigan football games and totally immersed in the ‘Go Blue’ culture.”

Hennes provided a key attacking presence in club soccer, scoring five goals and adding five assists in the regular season. At the playoffs in June, she scored three times and added another assist, helping her team reach the Sweet 16.

Competing in fall high school soccer, she helped her team finish the 2024 season undefeated, winning the school’s first-ever NY State Championship.

Along with growing up attending football games, she has long harbored the ambition to play soccer in Ann Arbor.

“I attended the Big Ten Women’s Soccer Championship in 2021 – when Michigan beat Rutgers – and from that moment on I dreamed of playing for Michigan and in the Big Ten,” Hennes said. “During the recruiting process, I loved learning more about the Michigan program and meeting and talking to the incredible coaching staff. To receive an offer to play for Michigan was a dream come true. I know that the program will provide me with the best opportunity to develop my game further – I would love to play professionally after college – and I know that graduating with a degree from Michigan will position me for an unparalleled career after soccer.”
