The ECNL Boys National Playoffs are set to begin next week, kicking off on June 25 at the 60 Acres Complex in the Seattle suburbs.
For the oldest age group, the weeklong event will end with two champions crowned: a 32-team knockout tournament featuring the best teams in the oldest age group. The first round losing sides will drop down to contest a 16-team cup competition.
A new title-winning side will be crowned, as last year’s 07 winners San Diego Surf did not qualify for the postseason. Local side Crossfire Premier will enter as one of the favorites, as they’ll be competing on home turf, featuring a long list of talented players heading off to Division I programs later in the fall.
Runners up in 2024, LV Heat Surf failed to win last year’s Under-17 crown after conceding a late equalizer, eventually losing to the San Diego side on penalty kicks. Several returning players, including Chase Stewart and Gavin Flickinger, have the team poised for big things.
Here’s a look at some of the top players to watch by position who are expected to compete for the Under-18/19 title.
