This U16 ECNL Girls age group is one for the ages for several reasons. For starters, you have several teams with multiple youth national team players on their roster, creating intense dynamics as those teams battle. Then you have last year’s finalists Slammers HB Koge, and Legends FC, hailing from the Southwest conference, and when they met in March missing several starters, it was a repeat of the championship game as Slammers won 1-0. With those two as strong as ever, Solar SC looking to add to their age group national championship from 2021, and PDA Blue’s strong form coming in, several high-level contenders will think they have what it takes. Here are some players and teams to watch for this weekend.
