OCEANSIDE, California - The Girls Academy League had the second day of playoffs on Thursday from the SoCal Sports Complex. The 08, 07, 06, and 03/02 age groups were in action on the day.
The shocking result of the day came in the U19 playoffs. Midwest United held FC Bay Area to a scoreless draw on Thursday. FC Bay Area was the heavy favorite in the age group coming into the event, and backed that up with a 6-0 win over Houston Dash on Wednesday.
Midwest United’s draw leaves Bracket A wide open heading into Friday’s final day of games from group play in the U19 playoffs.
