Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week
It's been a big couple of weeks for Ally Lemos.
The Legends U16/17 attacker was all over the field in two games played on Saturday and Sunday. She had a hand in all five goals that Legends scored in their first game, a 5-2 win against Albion SC. Velize King and Kayla Colbert each scored two goals in the win for Legends, with Haley Halbersma chipping in the fifth. Lemos converted a penalty on Sunday, as Legends made it two wins from two games by defeating Real So Cal by a 2-1 score. Lemos is the latest Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week, presented by THINX.
Lemos is the No. 18 ranked player in the 2022 IMG Academy Top 150 rankings. Recently committed to join UCLA that year, Lemos has nine goals in 19 appearances for the U16/17 during the current Development Academy season. She was a Best XI performer during last summer's Girls DA playoffs for the Legends Under-15 side, and has a couple of appearances in U.S. youth national team camps under her belt.
Also receiving consideration for this week was for Payton Cahill. The goalkeeper for Sporting Omaha's U17 team stopped 20 of 21 shots she faced this weekend against Sporting Blue Valley U17s. She stopped six of seven breakaways and snuffed out four corner kicks in the the game.
