Today we unveil our latest update to Grande Sports Academy TeamRank Top 25, the comprehensive ranking system for elite club soccer teams nationwide, releasing the latest standings for U13, U14 and U15 Girls. Next week, we will update the older age groups on the Boys side. We will update our Grande Sports Academy TeamRank Top 25 for each age group at least once per month.

Northeast teams excel at U13

As the fall season winds down, leaders of the nation’s top leagues continue to emerge as fall season champions and enter the Grande Sports Academy TeamRank Top 25. New York SC 00G finished the National Premier League’s Eastern Development Program first division with a 6-0-2 record, including a win over MAPS Cup champion South Jersey Elite Barons, and debuts at No. 18. NEFC Elite from Massachusetts amassed a 9-0-0 record in the New York Club Soccer League’s NPL Division, and while they are currently second in the league standings, they are the only team without a loss, and enter our rankings at No. 23.

Southeast Conference showdown at U14

No. 5 Charlotte Soccer Academy and No. 12 Concorde Fire are in a neck-and-neck battle for the top of the ECNL’s Southeast Conference, and both move up a couple of spots in this month’s rankings. Though Concorde took the first meeting by a 2-1 margin, Nathan Williams’ Charlotte squad dominated the second outing on October 27 by a 4-0 score, with Mary Elliott McCabe providing two goals, and the team’s leading scorer Courtney Walker added a goal and an assist. Though still technically second in the conference (Concorde has two games in hand), Charlotte SA now leads the ECNL’s U14 age group in scoring, with a prolific 4.8 goals per game.

Sockers FC continues to roll over teams in the ECNL Great Lakes Division and climbs into the top ten with this update. Though the Chicago area squad has fewer games played, Sockers battles No. 1 So Cal Blues and new No. 16 Lonestar for the accolade of fewest goals against in the league – 1.

Strong start for OESA at U15

With Ohio and Maryland playing their girls’ high school seasons in the fall, Ohio Elite SA is one of the late arrivals to the ECNL party, but OESA made an entrance last weekend with 4-1 and 6-0 victories over conference foes Virginia Rush and Richmond Strikers, and makes an entrance into our rankings as well at No. 25. IMG Academy 150 standout Abby McNamara (No. 62) scored six goals in the two matches and will look to provide the offensive spark for this team as the season gets into full swing.

Grande Sports Academy TeamRank Top 25 is the comprehensive team-ranking system devised by TopDrawerSoccer.com to provide an objective and common-sense approach to determining which elite youth soccer teams are the best in the nation.

The rankings, updated monthly, are primarily results-based, with a nod toward the league and championship competitions that emulate how excellence is determined in leading soccer nations around the world.

Tournaments are also included but at a reduced value due to the many mitigating factors involving such events, including attrition and guest players.

A final layer of executive evaluation is provided to account for variables that often impact results, thus ensuring that the monthly lists are not subjective, but are not purely mechanical.
