The added benefit of the occasion is increased professional scrutiny. While scouting and evaluation takes place all year, the academy playoffs is like a hyper-chamber for next level players. Even the academy showcase in December can’t quite compete. If you put on a show over the course of the postseason, your organization will notice you. Period.
