This is a fun time of year for the Development Academy. Its 10-month calendar can seem like a slog during the dragging moments of February and March, but when it gets to June the fireworks begin. Which leaves us with the unpredictable madness that is the academy playoffs. You never know in this league.

The added benefit of the occasion is increased professional scrutiny. While scouting and evaluation takes place all year, the academy playoffs is like a hyper-chamber for next level players. Even the academy showcase in December can’t quite compete. If you put on a show over the course of the postseason, your organization will notice you. Period.
