IMG announces soccer commitments for 2019
by IMG Academy
June 19, 2019

The IMG Academy Soccer Program has over 150 players with 14 Boys and Girls teams that compete in the US Development Academy, the National Premier League and the Florida Premier League. IMG rivals some of the world’s best academies and training venues. Each student-athlete not only works directly with their coach, but they have a support system dedicated to their progress and success. One of these areas is reflected within IMG’s College Planning and Placement Department, as advisors aid players in finding the ideal program and best match.

The program recommends a systematic approach to the college recruitment process that includes the following:

-          Meetings with a college placement advisor beginning freshman year

-          Involvement with community service efforts such as student-run clubs and organizations

-          Developing both on the field and in areas such as physical conditioning, leadership, communication, and mental toughness

-          Taking advantage of IMG’s tournament schedule, on-campus events, and 200+ coaches who visit campus annually

-          Establishing and ultimately narrowing down a list of schools that meet criteria such as location, size, academic offerings and majors, athletic division, and more

-          Being proactive

-          Creating a profile within the NCAA eligibility center

-          Contacting coaches at the appropriate times throughout the year

-          Establishing consistent communication with college programs of choice

-          Attending ID camps and showcases

-          Recognizing an opportunity to enroll in a post-graduate year to find the best program fit

This year, IMG Academy soccer celebrates the below graduating seniors and post-graduates who committed to the process and showcased incredible growth and development. IMG looks forward to seeing their success at the next level. As the next group of players move through their careers, we also recognize their commitments to some of the most notable programs in the country.
