MLS Next announced the addition of five clubs to the league for the 2021/2022 season on Thursday. Hoover-Vestavia Soccer (HVS) (Alabama), Lou Fusz Athletic, Texas United, Tormenta FC, and Wake Futbol Club are the five new clubs to the league for next season. 

MLS Next also announced the addition of St. Louis City Academy, Albion SC Las Vegas, and Las Vegas Sports Academy (LVSA) to the league for next season. 

With the new additions, MLS Next is home to 118 clubs, 521 teams, and over 11,000 players.
