Recruiting Insider: Landing a top goalkeeper

Recruiting a goalkeeper is a tricky proposition.

Bringing an elite recruit as a goalkeeper is even more strenuous.

A goalkeeper can be the main difference maker in many games in college soccer, but the position is anchored by only one man, which makes finding the right one an utmost priority.

However, oversigning at the position can lead to more problems with elite recruits not getting the playing time they were promised in the first few seasons at the collegiate level.

For four and five star keepers coming out of high school, these are the considerations that must be weighed when looking at any school. And for one of the top goalkeepers in the 2014 class, this is exactly what he is considering as he begins to narrow down his options.
